Sensei Glen FitzmauriceSensei Glen Fitzmaurice’s love and appreciation of the martial arts goes back as far as he can remember. At the age of 13 he began his martial arts training in Tae Kwon Do. He loved the training and found himself attending 4 classes each week. Later he moved on to the study of Isshin Ryu karate under the instruction of Renshi Rob Pushard. Sensei Fitzmaurice has attained the rank of San Dan (3rd degree black belt) with Renshi Rob Pushard and while continuing to train with Renshi, he is pursuing his black belt in Shaolin Kenpo with Sensei Ken Daley. Sensei Fitzmaurice has been training with Sensei Ken Daley for the last 12 years in the concepts of full contact kickboxing and is currently on the path to excellence in the art of Shaolin Kenpo with Mr. Daley. Sensei Fitzmaurice's love for the martial arts has lead him to instructing others to improve themselves through the study of Martial Arts. He finds teaching all levels very rewarding, but nothing hits home like hearing the Little Ninjas recite the Dojo Code at the top of their lungs. Sensei Fitzmaurice's personal focus in training is to improve mental and physical fitness through reality-based training. An avid bodybuilder Sensei Fitzmaurice improves his stamina, strength and health through vigorous training both in the gym and the dojo. His personal training with Bill Kipp of F.A.S.T Defense currently ranks Sensei Fitzmaurice as the only certified FAST Defense instructor in Maine. The most important aspect of Focused Fitness is the physical and mental development of his members through training the mind, body, and spirit to work in harmony. Instructor Profiles
